Héctor Eduardo Reglero Montaner (Valentín Alsina, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 8 de septiembre de 1957), conocido en el ambiente musical como Ricardo Montaner, es un cantautor venezolano nacido en Argentina. A pesar de haber nacido en Argentina, Montaner se radicó en Venezuela desde muy temprana edad, donde se formó como cantante. Saltó a la fama tras cantar traducciones de canciones italianas como: Per noi innamorati(Tan enamorados) Oltre la montagna(Dejame llorar)entre muchas más. En 2012 le fue otorgada la nacionalidad colombiana por el Presidente de la República de Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos

El primer tema que presentó en público fue en el Festival de Ancón (Perú), con el tema «Canta, viejo, canta», festival donde ocupó el cuarto lugar. Sus primeros productores le propusieron lanzarse como cantante y fue ahí que escogió como nombre artístico Ricardo Montaner, utilizando su apellido materno. En 1978 grabó su primer LP, titulado Mares, que no logró atraer la atención del público.

Así anduvo Montaner unos cuantos años, como telonero de artistas más conocidos y procurando presentarse en cuanto festival de voces existiera. Uno de ellos fue el festival de Ancón (Perú) donde se dio a conocer con la canción «Murallas» con la cual participó en este desaparecido festival.

Después de intentos con otras empresas, en 1986 la disquera venezolana Rodven Discos (después conocida como Líderes-Rodven) le contrató formalmente, siendo su primer LP en esta nueva etapa Ricardo Montaner el cual fue muy bien recibido, amén de la publicidad que la disquera (subsidiaria del Grupo Cisneros) le había hecho. Esta publicidad y la aceptación de ese LP, le hicieron obtener sus primeros discos de oro y platino.

El primer éxito internacional de Montaner fue en 1988, con el disco Ricardo Montaner 2, que incluía «Tu piano y mi guitarra», a dúo con el cantautor argentino Alejandro Lerner.

En el año 1989 se casó por segunda vez con Marlene Rodríguez Miranda, hija del principal accionista del circuito de radio más grande de Venezuela, FM Center, y productora de sus videos con quien tiene tres hijos más: Ricardo Andrés, Mauricio Alberto y Evaluna.

En 1993, Ricardo Montaner disuelve su contrato con Sonorodven, pero sin apartarse de la actividad musical. Graba para los Estudios Disney el tema en español «Un mundo ideal» (versión para Latinoamérica) de Aladdín a dúo con la cantante española Michelle. Luego emprendería diversos proyectos musicales.

John Winston Ono Lennon2 (born John Winston Lennon), MBE (Liverpool, UK, October 9, 1940 - New York, USA, December 8, 1980) was a multi-instrumentalist musician and songwriter who rose to fame as one of the founding members of the Beatles, a British rock band active during the 1960s, and recognized as the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed in the history of popular music.
