Craig David was born in Holyrood, Southampton, Hampshire, England Afro-Grenadian father and a Jewish mother. His early career began when he recorded a B-Side to the English group of R & B "Damage" the topic of Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight". The album begins with the first single Hot Stuff, which contains a sample of Let's Dance (with the approval of David Bowie) followed by 6 Of 1 Thing and Friday Night. She's On Fire is a song for the dance floor, while Do not Play With Our Love Cuban tastes Kinda Girl For Me is pure soul Craig David style.
Awkward presents a discovery, the voice of Rita Ora, only 17. In This Is The Girl, has laa London rapper Kano.
"I think it is my most sincere" says David. "He has balance. Had to take my time to do this as it should be, and hence arises the 'trust me' title".
In Trust I tried to write what I wanted. "I worked with Fraser, who has been my guitar for years, and that was half of the album. Martin has been the other half and, between the two, I felt I had the freedom to do what I want".
